Whitefish Foundation began in 2015 after a visit to orphanages in the Vinnytsia region of Ukraine. What started as a calling to support orphaned girls aging out of the system quickly became a long-term commitment to walk alongside vulnerable young women with faith, stability, and hope.
We purchased land and began building a home to provide a safe place for girls transitioning into adulthood. Even during the pandemic, we continued supporting them through education, encouragement, and practical assistance.
Then, in February 2022, the war in Ukraine changed everything.
Construction efforts were disrupted. Members of our local team were called to serve, and tragically, lives were lost. Communities we had come to know were suddenly facing unimaginable hardship.
Today, while we remain committed to the girls who are part of our ministry, our primary focus has expanded to supporting families and communities impacted by war. Through trusted leadership on the ground, we provide:

Whitefish Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. 100% of all donations go directly to support our work in Ukraine.

Whitefish Foundation began by supporting orphaned girls in Ukraine aging out of the system. Today, as war impacts communities, we provide essential aid to families, women, and children.
